A. Polypropylene Sand-filled Greens
Our synthetic sand filled greens perform the best in the industry today. PPG’s unique defibrillating process makes the synthetic turf looks and feels like the real grass. We use road base and decomposed granite as sub-base to contour and form the challenging undulation on the putting surface, which combined with the porous backing of the turf create superb drainage qualities. UV treated polypropylene fiber top filled with silica sand, rubber and special formulated top dressing sand, create long wearing and best ball bounce and roll performance. At a speed of 9 to 11 on the Stimpmeter, it putts like a PGA tour stop green, which can also be adjusted to desired speed. B. Nylon Non-sand filled greens
We have non sand-filled nylon turf available for building outdoor or indoor putting greens on aggregate base. The UV treated curly nylon fibers are tightly woven on the polyurethane backing. The fibers stand up by themselves creating a smooth putting surface that does not need to be sand filled. Nylon greens are for putting only, and do not offer the ability to receive incoming approach shots. Its carpet like surface makes it less appealing to most golfers. However, the advantage of installing Nylon greens is that it does not require any future maintenance.
